Refractive error is a common eye disorder in which the eyes can’t clearly focus on the images of objects looked at. There are numerous types of refractive error such as short-sighted, long-sighted or presbyopia which is when you need glasses to read as we grow older. These are common refractive errors.
The percentage of the human population who has myopia also referred to as “Rabun Jauh” or Shortsightedness is increasing day by day. It is expected that the percentage will continue to increase. In the future, it is expected that half of the human population will have myopia.
Astigmatism might be the most misunderstood vision problem. Even the name is challenging to many people, who incorrectly call it “stigmatism.” In malay, it is often being called as “silau”.
