Refund Policy

  • All sales are considered final and no cash refund, exchanges or returns are accepted.
  • The selection of Eyeglasses brand, design, colour, material, and functionality is entirely the customer’s choice and decision.
  • You have agreed to our Refund Policy after accepting our Tax Invoice.
  • Goods sold must be collected within one 1month, If not the sum deposited will be forfeited and the transaction would be considered VOID.
  • We will provide a refund or exchange where required to do so by law. If a refund has been agreed upon with the management, it would take up to 14 business days for our accounting department to organize the refund into your bank account by bank transfer. Do provide us with your bank details for a bank transfer via email to accounts@malayaoptical.com
  • The retail shop has no authority to issue a Cash Refund.

Warranty Policy

Please fill-up the form below to authorized MALAYA OPTICAL to act on your behalf to follow up on the Warranty of your Goods with Brand Owner purchased at Malaya Optical. We will work closely with the Brand Owner/Supplier/Distributor to ensure that you get the goods repaired or replaced or find an agreeable solution as soon as possible. Usually, a minimum of 1week to 2months is needed but each warranty case might be different. Please ask us and we will try to give you the best estimates.

  • Warranty applies to manufacturing defects only
  • All warranty policy is 1 year from the date of the Receipt and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the supplier.
  • If a product has been warranty/replaced, the reminder warranty period is based on one 1year from the date of receipt of the initial purchase.
  • Warranty of goods by Brand Owner/Supplier/Distributor is subjected to manufacturing defects only and not wear and tear or based on user error or carelessness.
  • Promotions items, package deals, super deals, clearance and best buys are not applicable for Warranty.
  • If a No Warranty remark has been typed on your Receipt, NO WARRANTY applies

 

Sunglasses and Eyeglasses

-Selection of Eyeglasses brand, design, colour, material, and functionality is entirely the customer’s choice and decision.

-Usually, sunglasses and eyeglasses have a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase. However, the warranty by each Brand owner varies. Please check with us and obtain a written warranty period by the supplier from us.

-A sunglasses sold are considered in perfect conditions. Please check for scratches and micro defects on the lens surface before purchase.

-This warranty policy does not apply in the following cases.

1) Products that naturally degrade over time (such as acetate, wood base, and etc)

2) Damage arising from not following care instructions as provided at the point of sale.

3) Accidental damage.

4) Damage arising from improper storage of the Product.

5) Damage incurred by a provider other than us or your good self as a result of frame adjustments, or the removal or installation of lenses.

6) Damage arising from misuse, or suspected misuse, of the Product.

7) Discolouration of acetate due to dyes, solvents, or other substances.

8) Discolouration or oxidisation of metals due to skin contact or cosmetics.

9) scratch-resistant lenses, where scratches are due to ordinary wear and tear (for example, by excessive rubbing causing lenses to have small hairline scratches) and/or deliberate or accidental scratches on sunglasses lenses

10) Ordinary wear and tear, including minor damage that occurs as a result of ordinary use, snapping, cracking, breaking, stepping on or ripping off the arms of frames, scratches on the surface of lenses.

11) Misuse of a Product, including not using a Product in accordance with any instructions we provide to you

 

Prescription Lenses

-Your prescription verified by a qualified optometrist and valid for 1year from the date of examination except when you have other pending health issues eg diabetics, lower blood pressure, macular degenerations and etc.

-Selection of prescription lenses brand, design, index, thickness, coating type, colour tone, colour gradient and colour intensity is entirely the customer’s choice and decision.

-If there is any manufacturing defect on the lenses eg micro scratch, coating peel, surface irregularity, lens warp or any other irregular please report to us within 24hours from the purchase date or invoice date.

-This only applies to prescription lens Products that are classified as multifocal or progressive lenses. If you buy a multifocal or progressive lens Product for the first time and you are not able to adapt to wearing them, contact us and we will:

a) provide you with, at your choice, exchange or upgrade if we receive your request within 90 days from your date of purchase; or

b) at our discretion, offer you an exchange or upgrade where we receive your request outside the period that is 90 days from the date of purchase.

-This warranty policy does not apply in the following cases.

1) Ordinary wear and tear, including minor damage that occurs as a result of ordinary use, scratches on the surface of lenses.

2) Misuse of a Product, including not using a Product in accordance with any instructions we provide to you

3) scratch-resistant lenses, where scratches are due to ordinary wear and tear (for example, by excessive rubbing causing lenses to have small hairline scratches) and/or deliberate or accidental scratches;

4) Damage arising from not following care instructions as provided at point of sale.

5) Accidental damage.

6) Damage arising from improper storage of the Product.

7) Damage incurred by a provider other than us as a result of frame adjustments, or the removal or installation of lenses.

8) Damage arising from misuse, or suspected misuse, of the Product.

9) Discolouration or coating peal of lenses due to dyes, solvents, or other substances.

10) Scuffs or scratches on the lenses.

11) Changes to prescription are the result of a natural change in vision or eye surgery.

 

 

The procedure of Warranty Claim

Step 1 – Provide Original Tax Receipt

Step 2 – Activate Goods Warranty Procedure by filling up the form below

Step 3 – Submit defective goods for Malaya Optical Team to help coordinate with Brand Owner/

Supplier/Distributor for your manufacturing defect warranty.

Step 4 – Malaya Optical Team would issue you a receipt of Submission of Warranty Claim

Step 5 – Sit back and relax. We will take care of your warranty claim for you

Usually, warranty replacement if approved by the Brand Owner/Supplier/Distributor for sunglasses/eyeglasses would take between 1week-2months. This time frame is subjected to Brand Owner’s discretion and response time.
