Ryan Ho

Originally educated in the United States, Ryan Ho began his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science degree from the prestigious University of Kansas. Driven by a passion for eye care and visual health, he later pursued and obtained his Optometry degree with Honours in Malaysia.

Clinical Expertise

Ryan’s professional career led him to Malaya Optical, where he has spent many years developing extensive expertise in myopia management, particularly in children. He is highly experienced in a wide range of evidence-based myopia control solutions, including:

• Specialised spectacle lenses — ZEISS MyoCare, Essilor Stellest, and HOYA MiYOSMART
• Orthokeratology lens designs — Alpha and Menicon

Beyond paediatric eye care, Ryan is also recognised for his work with geriatric patients, providing highly personalised visual solutions tailored to individual lifestyles and visual demands. He specialises in customised progressive lens designs such as ZEISS Individual, helping patients achieve optimal visual comfort and performance.

Ryan is an internationally invited speaker and educator in the field of myopia management and optical innovation. Selected engagements include:
