In 2006 Andy Wolf started with its first collection of timeless modern glasses, which not only fulfils highest aesthetical criteria but also provides ultimate functionality. Within the last year sales more than doubled while Andy Wolf is not targeting mass production but handmade luxury articles. “In contrast to numerous companies, who produce their glasses in low-wage countries in the Asia-Pacific-region, our products are entirely made in Austria”, comments Katharina Plattner, designer and managing partner of Andy Wolf. Beside stars like Hugh Grant and Eric Clapton, this philosophy convinces customers all over the globe. In that sense the Styrian designer and manufacturer of glasses emerged to an exclusive high-end brand. The label is present on all main international trade fairs ranging from Milan, Paris to Las Vegas.

“At the moment Andy Wolf achieves its biggest turnovers in France and Italy. The products target a particular group of people for whom their eyeglasses are precious accessories. Therefore Andy Wolf products are only available at selective distributors”, states Plattner. Due to the rising success of the male collection Andy Wolf will soon expand its collection. Handmade in Austria Within the production process every item has to pass a series of manufacturing steps and quality cheques, which turns every Andy Wolf product into a unique piece of handcraft: „Finishing a pair of glasses takes several weeks as every single piece is handmade. The spectacle frames not only stand for style and elegance but also make you completely forget that you are wearing glasses“. The spectacle frames are made of acetat plates and prevent tension with the glass, they are hard-wearing and long-lasting.
 Andy Wolf is an Austrian luxury eyewear brand, which has become a permanent fixture in the designer eyewear market. The spirit of the collection is upbeat, evoking the days when rock ‘n’ roll  was a way of life, combining retro chic with modern materials and manufacturing methods. The collection was unveiled in Munich, before being taken to Amsterdam, London, New York and Tokyo.
“We have set new standards of excellence throughout the collection, both visually and in construction, thanks to the innovative use of colours and materials, such as film-coated metal,” says Katharina Plattner, (managing partner and designer at Andy Wolf). Only 300 pairs will be available in each colour.
The Andy Wolf brand is not about mass production,but delivering a line of hand-made, luxury accessories. “While other companies might manufacture their glasses in Asia to cut costs, Andy Wolf is handmade in Austria”. Andy Wolf is an exclusive brand, traded exclusively.

Andy Wolf, which has quickly established itself as a permanent fixture in the designer eye-wear market, attracted an impressive list of celebrity clients, has launched its first exclusive collection of sunglasses.

Mother of pearl is the theme of the women’s range, with rich yellow or turquoise tones combining with subdued greys and browns. Among the unisex designs are some with lightweight metal frames with foil coatings offering different colours and marbling effects.

Austrian quality stimulates demand, especially abroad.

Andy Wolf, based in Hartberg in the southern Austrian province of Styria, launched its first collection in 2006, delivering a range of timeless, modern eye-wear which meets the highest aesthetic and functional requirements.

The brand is present at all major eye-wear industry trade fairs, including Milan, Tokyo and Las Vegas.

Celebrities are among Andy Wolf’s growing list of customers, including Hugh Grant, ‘Twilight’ star Kiowa Gordon, music legend Eric Clapton, New York burlesque artist Miss Dirty Martini,  Vienna’s Top Model, musician Martin Meister and presenter Christian Clerici.
