The Role
We are seeking a marketing coordinator who is ready to bring their classroom knowledge to life within a professional environment. You will not only gain industry exposure but will work alongside our Chief Marketing Officer, but be provided support and mentorship throughout the process.
Job Tasks and Projects
Work with the Marketing Team to demonstrate learning in the following areas:
- Provide administrative support to the Marketing function.
- Assisting in the development, production and distribution of marketing and promotional material, campaigns and strategies that grow our clients brand awareness, consideration and advocacy.
- Build databases for MALAYA OPTICAL’s target markets, including data entry and analysis
- Champion internal goals, tracking and reporting on success by monitoring key metrics.
- Maintain the Marketing repository on the business intranet.
- Ad hoc projects assisting the Chief Marketing Officer and the Marketing Team.

Responsibilities
- Implement brand guidelines with guidance 0f seniors across a variety of digital and print projects
- Brainstorm and develop concepts with guidance 0f seniors to refined and well-crafted design solutions
- Individually and as part of a team, work on print advertising, email campaigns, social media posts, conference materials, e-books and presentations
- Design, build and maintain our social media presence with guidance 0f seniors
- Basic website maintenance with guidance 0f seniors
- Copy writing and proof-reading with guidance 0f seniors
Candidates require a can do attitude and must be driven to develop their skill set
Accounts
Requirements
- Data entry – Processing of Orders, Invoices & Purchases (Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable)
- Maintaining the data base for all customers, suppliers & inventory
- Bank Account reconciliations
- Other reconciliations – Eg. Sales and Stock
- Assist month end with General Journal entries
- Prepare a Freight/Warehouse Cost Analysis Report

Responsibilities
- Work with the seniors to ensuring all exposure and white balance settings are correct and accurate
- Photograph eyewear in accordance with company standards and procedures
- To choose the most suitable location for photography – being mindful of changing light conditions and backgrounds
- Capturing images that are in focus, well exposed and correctly framed
- Creating an environment that is enjoyable and productive to ensure that the highest quality photograph is achieved
Graphic Designers

Skills and experience
- A degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Marketing, Visual Communications or similar, with a minimum 1 year experience
- Strong technical abilities in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign) After Effects, animation and video editing are a bonus, but not necessary.
- Demonstrated creative ability through a strong well-rounded showcase folio of your best design (print and digital), typography and creative work
- Strong typographic and layout skills
- Good illustration skills
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work to stringent deadlines whilst coordinating several tasks simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders
